Stormwater Risk Management performs very thorough “Baseline” risk assessment inspections, monthly construction site audits, and USMS implementation audits for customers using the 4-step Uniform Stormwater Management System (USMS™). Services include:

  • Baseline stormwater compliance audits include a detailed report of findings and recommendations to the project team and home office. The baseline audit is a comprehensive assessment of the project’s Stormwater Management Plan including all record-keeping and site conditions as compared to the requirements of applicable federal, state and local permits. The project team is offered recommended strategies to mitigate potential enforcement-related risks, reduce potential environmental impacts, and manage long-term compliance costs for the project.
  • Monthly compliance audits/inspections with inspection reports provided to authorized project team members via secure online database
  • Monthly audits of project team/job-site performance include:
    • Conformance to required inspection process and procedures
    • Proper SWPPP documentation and updates as required under federal, state and local permits
    • Adherence to any additional performance standards created by the customer
    • Adequate maintenance and installation of required BMPs necessary to sustain permit compliance and mitigate potential environmental impacts
    • Assist SWPPP Administrator(s) with the proper execution of all systems and tools related to compliance program and CWT software usage
    • Provide enforcement risk reduction recommendations and environmental risk management strategies to corporate and jobsite
    • Provide recommendations for the most cost-effective Best Management Practices (BMP) available
    • Verification of proper sediment and erosion control installations
    • Follow-up verification of proper corrective actions needed to maintain permit compliance and environmental preservation
    • Update project-specific inspection system site maps to include the location of potential pollution sources and BMPs
    • Detailed executive summary reports to the customer outlining compliance performance over time to help build a documented track record of compliance improvements
  • Facilitation of contractor participation in the Water Quality Control Division’s Colorado Stormwater Excellence Program (CSEP)
